Instagram Feed Ideas
Instagram is Popular - That's a Given at This Point
With over 500 million users active every day around the world, there’s no denying how popular it is as a social media platform. With so many users competing to gain comments, followers, and likes right now, everyone’s trying to have the best Instagram profile out there.
1. Focus on Quality Over Quantity
It may be tempting to just push out content, content, content for the sake of showing up constantly on your followers’ feeds. But that’s actually a bad idea. You don’t want to push out content that’s shoddily made just so you can upload something. Instead, focus on sharing content that’s well-made, looks good and aligns with your brand. If that means posting not as often, that’s okay! It’s better to share one to three high-quality posts a week then multiple low-quality posts over the same time frame.
2. Take a Risk
If you find that you’re becoming bored with your Instagram content, then perhaps it’s time to take a risk. What that risk is depends on what you’re doing right now, as well as how bold you feel. Sharing only photos? Share a video or two. Tired of selfies? Get some photos taken by a professional photographer. Sick of the theme you have on your Instagram feed? Switch to a different one. Whatever you end up deciding, pick something that you’ll feel comfortable sticking with for a long time.
3. Don't Be Afraid to Use Your Human Side
One big complaint about social media, in general, is how it only shows a small percent of one’s life. It doesn’t show every last thing going on in a person’s everyday life. To combat this, why not share a bit of your human side on Instagram? Depending on what you’ve been through and how comfortable you are sharing stuff on social media, this could mean any number of things. Share a makeup-free selfie, share a post about any health issues (physical or mental), or discuss any personal struggles you’re currently going through. It shows another side of you on social media that your followers may not have ever seen before.
These are just a few ways that you can keep your Instagram feed fresh on a regular basis. It can take some time and effort to ensure that you have a feed to be proud of. But whether you’re looking to improve your personal or your business’ Instagram feed, it’s something that you can do without spending too much money.
