Raising Awareness with Social Media
CASE STUDY
About
Community Foundation of Nova Scotia (CFNS) is a charitable giving facilitator supporting local community philanthropic and donor initiatives. They help donors make sustainable philanthropic impact on causes they care about at the grassroots level in our communities. CFNS endow funds for donors; manage donation programs; and convene conversations that make a positive difference in their communities.
The Challenge
CFNS wanted to grow social media awareness of their programs, showcase the community impact of their donors, and highlight their community partners. CFNS has interesting stories that need to be told and they wanted to reach audiences in a well researched and carefully curated ways. They needed to work with the best social media marketing agency in Canada who could provide them actual results and Sociable Media came out on top of their search.
The Solutions
Sociable Media created a social media presence and a strategy that would educate followers with a professionally branded aesthetic. Discovering the root message of CFNS’s online story was the first step. From there, Sociable Media was able to provide creative direction and focus on building a strategy that centred on people and storytelling through graphics that translated the brand’s message and core values.
- Used both sourced and organic photos and introducing consistent branding into the content strategy helped increase awareness and user engagement.
- Incorporated branded content into social posts to maintain clear messaging and tone.
- Created and regularly update an editorial calendar for the CFNS team to share ideas and edit posts.
- Professional graphics and images capture user interest within the first 3-4 seconds,
- Videos with clear and concise messaging.
- Solid calls to action (CTA).
- Posted links directed to the appropriate landing page.
The Results
Total of 4,431 followers (from January to June 2022), all from organic posts (no paid)!
- Total impressions for all four social accounts was 22,000.
- We discovered that the types of posts that followers like to see are associated with People, Places and Impact/Community work. Posts that fit within these categories performed better.
